New Credentials Enrichment

The New Credentials Enrichment Program, held on March 25, 2024, at the Assemblies of God Bible College in Ja-Ela, aimed to equip new credential holders and candidates with essential knowledge while fostering spiritual growth. Although 120 individuals were expected, 70 attended, including spouses and children.

The event began with a vibrant worship session led by Rev. Ashanthi Pereira and the AGBC worship team, followed by an engaging ice-breaker from Rev. Dr. Upul Nishantha Silva.

Distinguished speakers, including Rev. Dr. Chrissokumar Handy, Rev. Dr. Upul Nishantha Silva, and Rev. Alexi Perera, led insightful sessions on topics such as the AG Vision, the importance of family in ministry, accountability, and leading a Spirit-filled life. Participants found these sessions enriching and valuable.

Mr. Gayan Perera later provided practical knowledge on essential tools and systems within the AG denomination.

In the evening, a ceremony was held to present credentials to candidates, attended by members of the Executive Presbytery and Credentials Committee. Rev. Dr. William K. Chellaih highlighted the importance of finishing well, followed by a prayer from Rev. Deepal Perera for the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Credentials were distributed as candidates were called, and senior pastors anointed the new members in prayer, symbolizing their commitment to ministry.

The event concluded with a heartfelt thanksgiving speech by Rev. Alexi Perera, expressing gratitude to all involved, and a benediction marked the end of the ceremony. A fellowship dinner followed for all participants.

Overall, the New Credentials Enrichment Program provided a platform for spiritual growth, knowledge enrichment, and fellowship, leaving participants inspired and ready to fulfill their ministry roles with renewed dedication.
