An Encounter Camp for the Tamil speaking pastors was held at the Sanctuary House Pamunugama from 21st – 23rd Sep 2015.
Of special note is that a gifted speaker from India was brought in especially to minster directly in the Tamil language. Pas John Prabharan who has his own style of personal ministry to individuals imparted and prophesied over individual pastors uplifting many who attended, giving a new impetus in their ministry and personal lives.
Our own session leaders Rev Stephen Joseph, Rev. Chrisso Handy & Bro Ramesh Shafter were also well received and were mentioned in the written testimonies received at the end of the camp. Our General Superintendent Rev. Dishan Wickramaratne concluding by sharing the vision of the organisation.
Participants enjoyed a restful three days and two nights at this excellent facility run by NCEASL where the quality of meals provided are often praised by the people.
It was originally planned to have two Encounters back to back with the foreign speaker confirmed for the whole length but had to be reduced to one due to low numbers registered.
Though close to a hundred people were individually invited by letter and persuaded personally for this camp, which was held free of charge, it was disappointing to see only twenty six (26) pastors participating. Fourteen (14) more who had reserved their places did not show up.
However those who attended were greatly blessed and went out Redeemed, Refreshed and Reawakened. Some of the excepts from the members who participated bear testimony.
